June 19, 2004 Cookout & Concert on the Lawn featuring the County-Line Brass Band. 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Aldrich House, 204 East F St. Adults $5.00, children 10 & under $4.00. Includes meal, drink & entertainment. Stroll the gardens or take a tour of the author's home for $1.00. Bring your lawn chairs! Oct. 2, 2004 Bess Streeter Aldrich Remembrance Day Craft, Food, & Book Fair. 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at Elmwood Elementary, 400 West F St.. Shop the craft, food, & book fair, enjoy a hearty soup luncheon from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m., then return for the speaker at 4:00 p.m. with a program about the author (coffee & cookies provided!). Fair admission is free. Soup luncheon $4.00 adults, $3.00 children. Free-will donation for 4:00 program. The Aldrich House will be open from 1:00-4:00 p.m. for guided tours. Call or email for fair vendor information. Every Full Weekend in December (Closed Christmas Day) "Journey Into Christmas" open house, 2:00-5:00 p.m. daily.
