Wildlife And Other Places

Wildlife Rescue Team would like to show rehabilitated animals from other places or just other wildlife captured on camera by wildlife observers. If you have an interesting picture, send it to us. We'll put it here on this page with your name and date for all to see and enjoy.

Black Bear The following four pictures come from Wildlife Rescue Team members who used to live in Nebraska, but now live in Oark Arkansas.  Dave and Mary Young rehabilitated almost everything while living in Nebraska and they have continued to do the same while living in Arkansas.  It helps to have 70 acres and live adjacent to National Forests.  Black bears are great animals and they live all around where the Young's live.  This picture was taken in the fall of 1998.
Bald Eagle The Young's have the necessary permits to rehabilitate raptors as well as other wildlife.  This picture of a Bald Eagle was taken in March of 1999.
Flying Squirrel Flying Squirrels are probably still present in Nebraska, but you would only find them in the most diverse forest's of Nebraska and that would be in the extreme SE sections of the state, probably near the Missouri river.  A place you could look would be Indian Cave State Park.  Unlike Fox Squirrels, Flying Squirrels require some special habitat to exist. This squirrel was raised from the age of 2-3 weeks of age around the fall of 1998.
Owls A Barred Owl and a Great Horned Owl from March of 1999.
